The Carnival Parade

Our theme this year is Space, the Final Frontier! All are welcome to join in the parade, which is led by samba bands banging out a foot tapping vibe, leading a procession of walking floats and entertainment.

You can enter up to Sunday 18th June 2017 so don't be one of those people who watches the parade go by thinking "I could have done that" have some fun and be one of the people who takes part!

We would like all entrants to be human powered i.e. walking, pedaling, skating, scooting, pulling or pushing and we welcome entries from individuals, families, friends, schools, clubs, businesses and other organisations.

The parade assembles at 12 noon in Horseshoe Lane by the Cricket Club. At 12.30 it sets off along Cranleigh High Street, turns in Little Manor Service Station and returns along the High Street to the arena on Cranleigh Common at about 1.15pm.

Prizes and the Carnival cups are presented. There are prizes for:

  • Best club entry
  • Best group entry
  • Best commercial entry
  • Best school entry (11 and under)
  • Best school entry (12-16)
  • Best family and friends entry
  • Best newcomer (1st year)

If you would like to enter in the parade please complete and return the Parade Application Form and return by Sunday 18th June 2015.
