Cranleigh Carnival & Fun Day

Every Visitor Young & old is guaranteed a great day out at the Cranleigh Lions Carnival as we celebrate

50 Golden Years of service in the community.

We have some fantastic side shows, including Coconut Shy, Splat the Rat, the ever popular Crockery Smash, Punch & Judy, as well as craft stalls, charity stands and showcases for many local businesses. 

This year’s acts, entertainers and attractions include:

Benson’s Fun Fair – Children’s rides
Johnny Slap – A unique entertainer, featuring slapstick comedy, variety and circus
Professor Crump – Entertainer, clown, stilt-walker and jester
Angie Mack – International hula hoop performer
Basil & Crew – Your friendly educational mobile farm
Wild About Britain – Promoting British wildlife conservation through educational animal encounters

Plus not one, not two, but three fantastic samba bands!

Batala London – Playing Afro-Brazilian Samba-Reggae
Bloco-Do-Sul – Playing samba-style rhythms inspired by bands from Brazil
Celebration Samba – Embodying the soulful rhythms and vibrant energy of traditional Samba music

The Brian Burt Fun Flower & Veg Competition

Bring entries on the day to the flower tent between 9.00am – 10.30am
No entry fee

Prizes- First in each class.  – Winners will be announced after the Carnival Parade

Classes

  • “Automobilia”    (Size W60cm x H60cm x D60cm). An exhibit to celebrate the Classic Car Show.                       Accessories can be used
  • Children’s arrangement- “Bonfire”    (Size W30cm x D30cm)  Arrangement on a plate
  • “A Golden Carnival” –  (A posy to be brought in a jam jar)

We also need labelled plants to sell on the stall, please deliver to the flower tent from 9am

Road Closures

To ensure the safety of those taking part in the procession road closures are put in place between 11.45 pm and 1:30pm on the day.
