This year’s Classic Car Show raised just under £21,000, which beat the 2010 total and Cranleigh Lions are pleased to be in the position of being able to distribute some of this money to the four local charities which the car show had pledged to support.
Cranleigh Lions recently presented Kate Grant, executive Head at Jigsaw School with a cheque for £2,500.
Jigsaw School provides specialist education and life skills training for children aged 5 to 19 with spectrum disorders and related communication disorders. Jigsaw is the only school of its kind in Surrey and needs funding to support the children currently attending the school and expand the help it provides.
Kate Grant was delighted to receive the cheque for £2,500 and said that the money will be going towards helping secure the futures of those children with autism, as they move into young adulthood. She presented Cranleigh Lions President Brian Walpole with a framed certificate of appreciation to acknowledge the help provided by Cranleigh Lions, over the years since the school moved to the new site in Dunsfold Park.
