Classic Car Show Questions
Questions about the Classic Car Show
on Sunday 13th August 2023
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are very welcome, please keep them on a lead whilst on the showground and clear up after them. Please don’t leave your dog in your car in the car park as too often we have to put out a distressed dog message.
Can I leave the show before 4.30pm?
For the safety of all classic drivers and pedestrians on the Showground classic car entry will be between 7am and 1pm with no exit before 1.30pm. Exit will be available from 1.30pm onwards.
Can I park my classic car alongside my friends’ cars?
Yes, what to do is meet up in the meeting area before the classic car gate and then come through the classic car gate together. The meeting area is signposted once on the showground.
Can I park with my car club?
Registrations for club parking closed on 30th June so that we can allocate the space each club requires and make print deadlines.
Unfortunately the space allocated to a club can’t be changed so we’re unable to accept additional club vehicles after 30th June.
If a club member has dropped out then space will be available, please contact your club representative as we don’t have access to that information.
Can I pay on the day for classic car entry?
Yes, subject to availability. The pay on the day fee for classic cars is £15, including the driver and one passenger. Additional passengers £10 each. Under 16s are free.
Registering in advance costs £10, including the driver and one passenger, subject to space and up to 12th August 2023.
Can I pay on the day for stall space?
We have a limited number of pay on the day stalls at the following prices:
5m wide – £48
7m wide – £60
10m wide – £96
15m wide – £144
Payment in cash is preferred.

I’ve registered with my club, where do I park on the day?
After club registration closed on 30th June, we will allocate car clubs to zones on the showground. This list of car clubs and zones are available at https://www.cranleighlions.org/events/classic-car-show/clubs/
On the day, once you have passed through the classic car gate, follow the signs for your zone, and once there a marshal will guide you to your car club’s area.
If I'm visiting and not displaying a classic vehicle, do I need to book?
Visitors who aren’t displaying their classic vehicle pay on the day as we don’t have advanced tickets.
Entry is £10 per person, under 16s free.
Parking is plentiful and free at the Cranleigh Showground.
Is there disabled parking?
Yes, disabled parking is available close to the public entrance. Please follow the signs once on the showground.
What aged vehicle is a classic?
Our definition of a classic vehicle is 20 years or older, with exceptions for long productions runs for makes such as Morgan.
Please don’t register anything younger or you may be turned away at the classic car gate.
What time does the show open?
Classic vehicles, clubs and stallholders can arrive from 7am. Stallholders must be set up by 9am.
The show is open to the public from 9.30am and closes at 4.30pm.
When does registration open and close?
Registration for individual entries and club entries are now open. There is a £10 registration fee for all vehicles. This gives entry to the vehicle, driver and one passenger, plus a complimentary copy of our Show Guide.
You will be able to register to park with your car club up until the 30th June 2023. We will not be able to accept any changes to club pitches after that date.
You will be able to register to park in the individual area until 12th August 2023 or until we have reached the maximum number of vehicles for the showground.
