Projects

Lions projects

Cranleigh Lions are keen to get involved in projects that benefit the local community, either directly or in support of other local  organisations.

The projects can be large or small, individual or as part of a wider scheme.  For example;  In 2009  Cranleigh Lions built a shelter for the refurbished Snoxall fields play area.

in 2012, the Lions funded the design & installation of a Beacon to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

In 2018 Cranleigh Lions funded the installation of 450 poppies, one poppy for every name on the  Cranleigh war memorial, as part of the Centenary Garden project to commemorate the hundred years since the signing of the Armistice on November 11th 1918.  The garden was  formally opened in November 2018.
